Improve Discoverability of Content on our Website, Github etc

I think for anyone landing up on our homepage directly, there's not a clear path to discovery of content.
Plausible Analytics validates this hunch. Many visitors who land on the homepage go no further.

This is a rough mock. I was envisioning providing a casual direction to these visitors.

I think we could create a /current and /highlights page that shows a well designed page showcasing 4,5 key links.

To start off, we can just manually change the content of these pages at a set frequency.

We don't have to necessarily create new pages. Maybe we can repurpose existing pages like /updates

Another such page worth considering is a /link-in-bio page that can be set for social media link sharing purposes

I really like what Simon has done on his github homepage.
Everytime he makes a change to his website (or some other repo), this homepage is updated. This way anyone who lands on this github profile knows where to look for new or important things

it would be a nice nod to the academic makeup of our team.
