minor #3714 [2.4] Versionadded consistency (WouterJ)

This PR was merged into the 2.4 branch.

Discussion
----------

[2.4] Versionadded consistency

Just like the previous one, but then for 2.4. It turns out we failed in
forcing the versionadded standard :)
