Got it from the top. Very strange.
As expected. MSP on USB, MSP+Mavlink on UART1. That should work. The log I was looking for was not the mwp telemetry log, rather the debug log. It should be in the home directory.
Actually, let's do full debug. In an Ubuntu terminal.
It will spew a load of stuff to the terminal (as well as run the application), similar to:

This looks to me very much like a hardware / driver issue (or the wrong firmware on the board). Here's your MATEK board:
And here's mine (albeit a MATEKF405)
Note in my case, the board is correctly shown (MatekF4), in yours it's a generic "STM32 Virtual ComPort in FS Mode". Are you sure you've flashed the correct firmware; in the CLI Otherewise, I'm out of ideas. Until Ubuntu reports the correct product name, I doubt we're getting anywhere further. |

My UBANTU install is up to date but I have been using for a couple of
years now. If my FW is correct, I will reinstall UBANTU and start again.
Really want to get tuis working. Will let you know..

Are you sure you've flashed the correct firmware; in the CLI diff the F/W
was MATEKF722SE; in another post you said one of the boards was a
F722-wpx, which requires different firmware.
Otherewise, I'm out of ideas. Until Ubuntu reports the correct product
name, I doubt we're getting anywhere further.

Hi! Followed all the video and read the install-info. I am NOT a Unix guy but got most working in UBUNTU :).. The Problem is I can not seem to connect to my INAV 3.01 based MATEK flight controller. Interestingly I can it seems edit the CLI (which must mean I am connected?) but no data comes back. Here is a screen shot: https://photos.app.goo.gl/d9VTpNSdhkE3PvUL7
I am simply connecting with a USB cable for now to the FC.
