About Me

I'm a full-time Software Engineer, often with energy and eagerness to identify and solve problems after work. While I've spent time on coding challenges like HackerRank, CodinGame and LeetCode - this haven't felt very fulfilling. On the other hand, answering questions on StackOverflow can be more fulfilling, but very inconsistently.

What I'm working on

While experimenting with generating Java models and clients from OpenAPI Specifications using openapi-generator, there were many customization options - but not the one I needed: generating immutable Java records. This was enough to prevent me from using it. Searching around for workarounds - there were none that didn't require additional dependencies or frameworks.

This spawned the idea of openapi-to-java-records-mustache-templates, to be able to generate Java records - with the least amount of extra work required from users. This is overriding only some parts of how openapi-generator works - making it easy to use, understand and modify further.

With the 2.0.0 Release, the project is licensed under the Apache 2.0 License, making it even more accessible for larger organizations! 🌟
