- MPI
- Portable Hardware Locality (hwloc)
If hwloc has been installed from source, or CMake is not able to locate it, it is reccomend to set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH env variable:
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:$HWLOC_INSTALL_DIR/lib/pkgconfig
Before attempting to build GMT, please take a look at the requirements in List of Dependencies. Building GMT is as simple as:

cd gmt
mkdir build && cd build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$GMT_ROOT \
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
make -j <SOMETHING_REASONABLE> && make install
