in addition to the global option (see plone/Products.CMFPlone#1241) it would be cool if you could toggle this on per folder/collection context basis.

@fgrcon maybe can share some insights regarding his icon/thumbnail work ...

@petschki I will try to compile some documentation on that. I think your proposal should not be to complicated to implement (would only need to extend the schema for folder and collection with one checkbox in settings, ... and finally add some markup). I think this would be quite useful. :-)
