CPC Board Seat Term Limits #874
Comments
I'll add that there was some discussion around extending the term between being re-elected. I think that leaving that at 1 year makes sense. The CPC can chose to keep the same person in place up to the 3 year limit but having the vote every year is good to make sure the CPC thinks about it and confirms that is what is best. |
I think we ended up in a place where we recognized that what we really cared about was:
Neither of those actually requires the changes mentioned above. So the decision was to close this issue and potentially revisit in the future if we weren't seeing the desired outcomes. Leaving this open until the next CPC meeting for folks that weren't there to chime in. |

Per some comments in the recent elections (#859 (comment), #859 (comment), #859 (comment), #859 (comment)), there was some discussion about CPC board limits.
As a TODO from today's CPC meeting, I offered to open this issue so we could close out #859 and continue that term limits discussion.
It seemed there was general consensus from @tobie and @mhdawson that having a term limit might be a good thing and that potentially 3 years was a good term limit. I am +1 on both of those points.
