System Usability Scale (SUS)

For System Usability Scale, we have surveyed 12 users by letting them try our app and rate our app based on the rubrics of System Usability Scale(SUS). The final score for each user is calculate based on the common formula in SUS practice and the results can be found here.

The average score for all 12 users is 80.21. From the relevant report, based on collected statistics over 500 evaluations, 68 is the average score and score above 80 is considered excellent. From the statistical result, our average score is 80.21 which is above the 68 mark line and just reaches 80 mark line. This has proved that our app indeed has some user friendly features that our users like.

Though the average score for SUS is 80.21 which is an indication of good usability of our app, some of the high score like 90 and 87.5 may come from users who are friends of our project team. Considering this factor, our average score is believed to be inflated by around 5-10 marks and this shows that our app still requires some improvements in terms of usability. Besides that, when conducting SUS, we have received several feedbacks on our UI and most of them request for improvements on the current version of our UI to make it more effective.
