With the file:

I get:

and on the console:

./kiwix-desktop /home/kelson/Downloads/phet_mul_2022-12\(1\).zim
Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.

Would be interesting now to know from which version of Qt it is available.

Just looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qt_version_history I'd say 6.3+

Available only in Debian bookworm/unstable https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/qt6-base-dev

Don't we bundle it with kiwix-desktop?

@rgaudin No, this is forbidden by Debian, see https://packages.debian.org/unstable/kiwix

@rgaudin Yes, in our own portable package, this is embeded and there should be no problem.

The file at https://mega.nz/file/PYtnlIZB#cjqIOZ0wQNRRfrkFjDyW61_vMaDeOiLiuA1Iq04G_Xg is no longer available. I couldn't reproduce the problem using a similarly named file from https://mirror.download.kiwix.org/zim/.hidden/dev/phet_mul_2022-12.zim which is obviously a different one (with UUID of 1eae92d3-7324-cadd-20b2-d6ac61f09f6a rather than fbd2f790-5d36-fccc-df2d-c22f94be3a69). I tested using kiwix-desktop_x86_64_2.3.0.appimage on Ubuntu 20.04 (on Ubuntu 22.04 jammy that appimage doesn't work), and a newer appimage kiwix-desktop_x86_64_2.3.1-2.appimage on both Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 22.04.
