The Hackathon Explorer tab view centralizes the hackathon experience so that hackers aren't flying across the entirety of gitcoin.co when they need assets from different locations. The tabs will be organized so all primary and secondary hack materials are just a click away.
We've seen the effects of the Townsquare on the homepage of gitcoin.co. It's resulted in cohorts that have 20-35 percentage points higher for short and long term retention. It's also an amazing breeding ground for ideas and interaction. For each and every hackathon, this type of interaction can be highly beneficial, so integrating the homepage townsquare experience as a hackathon-specific Townsquare seems ideal in terms of increasing engagement, retention, and the successful cultivation of ideas.
