I'm trying to unpack EmmetNPP.dll to Notepad++\plugins but it reminder me cannot load 32-bit plugin. Is there any way to solve this problem?

I am having the same problem. Details:
Notepad++ (64-bit) version: 7.5.1 (newly downloaded and installed)
Notepad++ Python Script version: 1.0.8.0
Plugin Manager version: 1.4.9.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Download emmet-npp.zip
  2. Unzip files into download directory
    a. EmmetNPP.dll
    b. EmmetNPP (folder)
  3. Copy files from download directory into Notepad++ plugins directory:
    a. C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins
  4. Start Notepad++
  5. Receive Error:
    See screenshot below, but if you cannot see screenshot, here is the error:
    Cannot load 32-bit plugin.

    EmmetNPP.dll is not compatible with the current version of Notepad++.

    Do you want to remove this plugin from the plugins directory
    to prevent this message from the next launch?

emmet_error

I hope this helps in troubleshooting the issue and a resolution is found soon. I don't normally use Notepad++, but a college class wants us to.

Thanks!

I found the solution.
Steps:

  1. Uninstall your current Notepad++ 64-bit version.
  2. Goto Notepad++ official site and at this time you have to download the 32-bit version. (You have to download it even if your system is 64-bit.)
  3. Install it.
  4. Now place the Emmet files in the plugins folder of notepad++.
    Now you will find your notepad++ folder in the C:/Program Files(x86)/Notepad++/Plugins

If you are getting problem , contact me!

It worked with Windows 8.1 (x64). Unfortunately on Windows 10 no longer. I tried to install the 32-bit version on a pendrive and admin install it but it doesn't work (Win 10).
(Unfortunately, my new PC doesn't work with Windows 8.1 : (
I think I'm using Visual Studio Code with (built-in) Emmet coding ;)

Why do they delete a completely good function that had worked well before ?! 👎
& It would be worth working with the 64-bit version, especially on the "new" Windows 10 system 🔢

I'm using the "jN" plugin instead of Emmet: https://github.com/sieukrem/jn-npp-plugin It works on Notepad++ x64 and includes Zen Coding (aka Emmet). It can be installed easily via Plugins Admin. The default shortcut to expand abbreviation is Ctrl+E.

You can also try jn-npp-emmet, which is based on emmet@1.
