Issue Automation

msftbot provides us with the following issue automation (configuration):

  • needs-triage - This label is applied to every issue created or moved into our repository, indicating the issue needs to be triaged.
  • need-info - Applying this label to an issue will prompt msftbot to post a comment requesting more information from the issue author, with a 7 day deadline. If the author has not responded after 7 days, the issue will be automatically closed.
  • possibly-stale - Applying this label to an issue will prompt msftbot to post a comment saying the issue will be closed in 14 days without activity. Any comment will keep it open, or it will be closed after time is up.
  • Closed issues locked after 30 days - 30 days after an issue has been closed comments will be disabled. This is prevent new feedback getting lost on old issues that are no longer being tracked.
