Rolling my own session-based authentication?

I wonder what is the best way to roll my own session based authentication? I was able to find this post but it's quite old. Is it the current recommendation? To use Graphjin as a library? In that case I would completely opt out of the built-in auth, right?

Yes, if you use GraphJin core as a library then you just have to provide the user id and or role in the context
