Is there a way to automatically generate UUIDs and is there any similar annotation to @DynamoDBAutoGeneratedDefault which was present in version 1?

aws-sdk-java-v1 allowed the creation of UUIDs automatically and also provided a custom annotation that allowed the creation of UUIDs with a prefix. So is this possible in version 2 and is there any example out there? Also, is there any similar annotation to @DynamoDBAutoGeneratedDefault that was present in version 1?

Automatic creation of UUID is not currently supported in the AWS Java SDK v2. We have an open feature-request regarding this feature here : #1919. You can showcase your interest for the feature by adding a thumbs up reaction.

In general, for DynamoDBMapper Features, you can refers to issue #35 where the planned DynamoDBMapper parity features are discussed and referred to.
