Affected version

24.89

Device Type

Smart TV/Box

Affected Android

Fire OS 7.6.8.1

Steps to reproduce the bug

Watch videos for more than a day

Actual behavior

Nearly every day I have to go in and delete the app data and go back and re-sign in to get videos to play again. After about a day of playing suddenly it will stop playing them and any video I try to play will show with --/-- as the length and the play button will show but wont play. Once I clear cache and delete data for the app then go sign back in to my youtube account it will work again for around another day.

I just hit this problem on 25.03. Erasing the app data solves the problem.

Just wanted to add an update that I hit this problem using an earlier version (dunno which version) and figured I'd try updating it to 25.02 and then 25.03, but neither of those versions fixed the problem until I erased the app data while using 25.03

Yea its annoying for it to keep happening, I already have YT premium so the main reason I use ST is for skipping sponsor segments and mostly because it has a feature to turn off the screen since I use it on a tv in the bedroom to have audio books play while I sleep. Still amazes me that YT doesnt offer this feature yet.
