Bug report checklist

  • Always send the vokoscreenNG log, after a "Start" and "Stop" --> Can't click "STOP", VokoscreenNG is freezed
  • Have you searched the existing issues to see if this report is a duplicate?
  • Are you using the latest version of vokoscreenNG?
  • Are you familiar with https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug ?

Describe the bug
When I try to capture an area of my screen (Wayland), Vokoscreen asks me twice for the area to record.
First time, after selecting "Area". In this case a selector appears with handles and I select the area.
Second time, after clicking on "Start", and a selection window of "Devices", "Areas" or "Windows" appears, and after "Area", and then clicking on the "Share" button, the mouse pointer allows me to click and drag to select an area again, after which the recording starts.
When I click "Finish" the recording, VokoScreenNG does not react anymore.

Log messages
Before you copy the log, make a short recording (start, stop) and then copy the log.
Paste now or attach log messages from vokoscreenNG log tab.
(Text files saved as .txt or .log are accepted by GitHub as attachment uploads. .zip archives are also permitted.)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
image
After 3rd step, I select area for second time (but distinct way).

Expected behavior
I hope to make a single selection of the area (not twice) and be able to stop recording (right now, I have to force Plasma to close VokoScreenNG).

Additional context
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240404
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.3
Kernel Version: 6.8.2-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

The dialog window comes from KDE Plasma and must be handled differently for the KDE Plasma versions.
The GUI now adapts accordingly.
The first image shows vokoscreen under KDE Plasma 5.x.x
And the second image under KDE Plasma 6.x.x

vokoscreenNG-1

Thanks for your hint
