Bug in mobile app

Describe the bug
After the latest update I saw that #6568 was supposedly fixed. Seemingly it wasn't so I tried to disable the feature and turn it back on again. However after trying to re-enable it I couldn't do so. The option isn't greyed out or anything, in fact it shows feedback when I tap it. Its just that nothing changes, it just stays as "Disabled".

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on Contacts
  3. Disable and try to re-enable Contact Sync
  4. See error

Expected behavior
Contact Sync can be re-enabled

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Galaxy A12
  • OS: Android 13 OneUI 5.1
  • Version 253.241126.2

Additional context
First had this happen on 253.241126.0, but I couldn't tell you in which version it last worked.

Thanks for your issue!

It does seem that the "Contacts Synchronization" is delayed when changing from Deactivated to Activated, since it won't do so until the initial sync is complete. This is a bit annoying, although it may finish if you wait a minute or two (depending on number of contacts).

Do you have a large number of contacts (i.e. more than 100)?
