Orphaned Database File #1066

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think there is an easy way to detect orphaned files from T-SQL. Scanning the file system for database files that are not attached is possible but quite expensive. Not sure if this would be possible remotely or not. I'm unlikely to add this feature. |
Dbachecks powershell module has orphaned files check to do that

DBADASH does not track orphaned database files. When databases are detached sometimes DBAs forget to delete them later. This check should let DBA know that there are orphaned database files.
