My name is Julián González from Manizales, Colombia. I'm PhD in electronic engineering, and my principal job is the software development, in particular, blockchain ⛓️🙃

I learned from bitcoin since 2013, but a bad experience with Mt.Gox put me aside several years. Later in 2017 I rediscovered bitcoin and new interesting cryptos. From that moment I started to get involved in the software developer in blockchain, in particular Steem Blockchain, where I learned a lot.

Koinos developer

In 2020, after the announcement of Koinos, I realized the potential and innovation of this new blockchain and I decided to be part of it and contribute as developer. Following, I list some of the projects where I've been working on:

• Koilib: JS/TS library for Koinos. It includes all basic features to interact with smart contracts and sign transactions.
• Kondor wallet: It's a wallet installed as a browser extension. It uses internally Koilib to interact with the blockchain. This wallet is in beta version and includes basic functionalities: import private keys, load balance, and transfer tokens. One of the most important features to add in the future is the support to "smart contract wallets", which will open a new set of possibilities and customization to the user (like recovery, multisignatures, authorities, transfer limits, etc) and Kondor should be able to give a good user experience when using these types of wallets.
• Fogata: Mining pools for koinos. It's a service to concentrate efforts for mining. People deposit koin or vhp and they can start earning rewards. The node operator do not have access to the funds, he only can use it to run the node for mining. Additionally, the fogata website allows to anyone to upgrade their own node to a mining pool and list it in the page with few clicks.
• Sponsors: Service to fund any type of project in koinos. The funds will be provided by the community and they are the ones that select the projects to fund.
• Nicknames: Nicknames for koinos. Free names, safe transfers, controlled by the governance system.
• Smart contract wallets: Imagine you lose your private key! the contract wallet can help you to recover your funds (see social recovery wallets by Vitalik). Now let's assume you use your wallet in many dapps for different purposes (nfts, gaming, social media, etc) and you have different type of assets. Don't you feel worried when you click sign and the same key is used for everything? with contract wallets you can have different keys with different roles/permissions, all of the covered by the recovery feature. This type of contracts are not widely used in ethereum due the gas costs that they represent, however, this is affordable in koinos as it is feeless, so I expect a widely adoption.
