Basic Components - Server-side port of shadcn/ui using JinjaX and Python

Hi everyone! 👋

I wanted to share a project I've built that brings shadcn/ui's design patterns and philosophy to the Python ecosystem. Basic Components (https://components.basicmachines.co) is an unofficial port that maintains the core principles that make shadcn/ui great:

• Copy/paste components (no package to install)
• Full customization and control
• Styling with Tailwind CSS utility classes
• Accessibility-first design
• Dark mode support

The key difference is that it's built for Python server-first architectures:

• Uses JinjaX for server-side component composition
• Integrates with htmx for dynamic updates
• Uses Alpine.js for minimal client-side interactivity
• Works with FastAPI, Django, and Flask
