I recieved my copy of the UK Edition today, so I'm probably going to start transcribing the cards to convert them for this, but how should I handle it?
Make a pack that just contains the different cards
Transcribe everything and players can deal with the doubles if they want to
Both of the above, clearly labelled
Determine the common cards and leave those as the base set. Move anything that isn't in the base set into a US Edition pack (selected by default), and add a UK Edition pack with the UK-specific cards.

I think the best way to go about it would be #4. It would avoid
US-centrism, while preserving the default game-launch behavior, and people
can use both without the fear of duplicates (which could ruin some hands in
edge cases).
Also, thanks for all the transcriptions you've been doing!
I've just finished transcribing all the cards in the UK edition into a spreadsheet. I've already flagged some of the more obvious UK ones. But, I need to go through and check the existing base pack to find what belongs where. Once I know the contents of the base pack. Anything else currently flagged as Base, can then be moved to a US pack
In the desktop version I have a concat formula that converts those columns into a single line entry for Cards.js, but Google Docs didn't like it for some reason.
There are quite a few cards where just the spelling has been converted, or a US reference swapped for a British one. For instance "The Oscar for _ goes to _." has become "The BAFTA for _ goes to _". But there are some unique ones in there too.
