FAQ

What is PSU Robot Rampage: BS IT Edition?
A multiplayer game being created for my senior project and final semester at Plymouth State University studying Information Technology.

What is the engine or IDE being used?
I am using the YoYoGames Game Maker Studio 2 engine.

What language is it being written in?
The Game Maker Studio 2 engine uses its own Game Maker Language (GML). It is a loosely typed scripting language.

Who is working on this project?
I am working solo on this project. Any code, art, or other assets will be created by myself.

Why a game for your senior project?
I find programming to be an artistic medium and, personally,, I consider a video-game to be an ultimate artistic form. To quote one of my favorite independent developers, “[they] are art, music, sound, all put together and made interactive” (Phil Fish). I wanted to apply the skills I have learned into a project that I am very passionate about, and would also enjoy including the professors and persons who have made my time at Plymouth State University memorable!

When is the project deadline?
The project is expected to be complete, or in a working playable state, by the end of the Fall 2018 semester around the week of December 9th.

Where can I expect to play this game?
My hope is to be able to package this project and have it available on my personal website come the end of the Fall 2018 semester. You can view my website here (currently under reconstruction), PixelBlue.io, and please, pardon the mess! It's reconstruction is currently low on the priority list for me.
