Enhanced experience with authentication enabled

I was thinking about enhancements about authentication, what can be provided if user is authenticated.
I think a dedicated dashboard for every user is very helpful. People would find it useful when seeing that the dashboard only shows alert that he cares about.
In order to do that, I think there should be preset dashboards for each user, each group.
I also think multiple filters in single page would be useful.

sure these two things ,dedicated dashboard and multiple filters , could be done on client with browser bookmarks and multiple windows or tabs, but still it would be great if karma can provide that.
