This is a great work. I tested most of the available floating label plugins. But most doesn't seem to work at all out of the box or destorying the styled input boxes of your own side completely - resulting in much more work to do.
I am currently refactoring / changing some things in my fork:
Already changed the handling of input fields without placeholders (biggest problem in my own use of this plugin.)
Currently changing all inline styles and animations to css. Also standardise the css classes using the floatlabel prefix like already done in the wrapper case (floatlabel-xxxx).
Tested merging the pull request of placeholders for selected boxes for example, but it seems to introduce some bugs. Try fixing this at another time. I am also considering if it would be a good idea to use a non-selected placeholder in the form of input fields (Sort of http://jsfiddle.net/Zmf6t/2115/)
