There are comment counts on most of the posts on the front page, but not all, and most of the posts on the second page are missing the comment count, and so on throughout the blog.

Seems to be a random bug, since sometimes it works sometimes dont, problably related with DISQUSWIDGET on pjax.load event.

It's not random on my side, it never loads when navigating through ajax links. The count appears only if you refresh the page or arrive from the url.

If we can avoid the ajax loading maybe we could keep the comments count and by the same way resolve #42 ?
I'm not sure if I entirely understand the benefit of the ajax request for post details.

I did a bit of investigation and noticed that GA tag are triggered correctly while Disqus comment count is not populated. Both elements are triggered from the same event ($document.on('pjax:end', function() { ... }) so maybe the issue is with Disqus script.

UPDATE

I've investigated that problem a bit more and it looks like the current method of fetching comment counts from Disqus (using DISQUSWIDGETS) will not work properly with AJAX website. However, I have found very nice workaround which could be implemented (with small modifications) in ghostium.
