How to retrieve previous inline chat conversations in pycharm?

In pycharm, when I use inline chat. It seems if the editor is resized or some other action causes a refresh of the editor, that the inline chat is dismissed and the current suggestions are lost.

I don't see the conversation in the other copilot tool windows or in any obvious log files. Is there any way to get it back?

For clarify, its the content of this dialog here, seems to not be logged anywhere, or otherwise retrievable after being dismissed (accidentally... usually)

• Check the Copilot Sidebar: Sometimes the conversation history might be available in the Copilot sidebar. Look for a history tab or a suggestion log in the GitHub Copilot plugin window, though this is typically limited to recent completions, not full conversations.

• Enable Conversation Logging: Although Copilot doesn't natively log the inline chats, there may be third-party extensions or features in PyCharm or GitHub Copilot that log actions. Check PyCharm's plugins or settings for an option to save Copilot interactions.

• Prevent Dismissals:

• Avoid editor resizing: One quick fix is to avoid resizing the editor while working with Copilot's inline chat. This will help prevent losing suggestions mid-session.

• Use Pop-up instead of Inline: Sometimes using GitHub Copilot's pop-up suggestions instead of inline chat helps to avoid losing context after a refresh or accidental dismissal.

• Use GitHub Copilot Labs (if available): If you have access to Copilot Labs (an experimental GitHub Copilot feature), it provides a more robust environment where conversations may be tracked more persistently.

As of now, there doesn't appear to be a formal feature that logs every conversation in PyCharm's GitHub Copilot plugin. This could be a feature request you'd want to raise with GitHub's support or on their issue tracker.
