So basically yes, GitHub is a social media but it's more likely for developers. Like you want to flexing around your code or you want to do some code projects with your friends or other developers, GitHub is here for you! And yep. GitHub is a developer's social media :) |

I use github for work purposes and now it feels like it's got more a marketing vibe around it. For example, I open Github.com and I see:
Advertisment for the conference (universe), who followed which developer, who starred which repo, github.com press releases, Explore repositories tile. I thought that the point of github is to develop stuff and not another LinkedIn/Instagram/Facebook. Those platforms are all becoming the same and I would really dislike it if Github does the same
