Public participation

We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs+foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.

I'll aim to attend this meeting to represent the npm team for the corepack conversation

I don’t think the Corepack question is ripe for the TSC to discuss again just yet. Multiple people on that thread have advocated for starting new threads to try to reach consensus on the various open questions; I suggested opening PRs against https://github.com/nodejs/node/blob/main/doc/contributing/technical-priorities.md to try to establish what goals we’re intending to achieve, before we move on to the second question of choosing the best way to achieve them. I was thinking that those PRs could be one way to organize the discussions that we need to have; or people can just open new issues that are more scoped than the current one. Regardless, there are many, many open questions and I don’t think this is anywhere close to being ready for the TSC to make any decisions. @aduh95 would you agree?

Please let me know if corepack is removed from the agenda and I remove this meeting from my calendar

If there are folks there to talk about Corepack, we can talk about it. Otherwise we can move the discussion for later. I agree with Goeffrey that it seems unlikely we would reach a conclusion during the upcoming meeting.
