I got some feedback that suggested it would be useful if the user could tweak the clustering of nodes or disable it altogether.

I think it should be done at two levels:

a default value in settings.py, instead of having it hardcoded in the UI
possibility for the user to change it while using the web UI (storing it in localstorage for later use)
