Here's a video that shows the issue better than me explaining: https://media.yep.digital/y2h7g72W - if you open the dropdown then tab away it appears fully. I'm not sure if this is a Craft CSS issue or something you can fix in the plugin.

...one year later, this is no longer an issue in Child Me! for Craft 5, which was just tagged in a beta release 🎉

The fix was sorta involved (in fact, Child Me! was basically rewritten from scratch for Craft 5), but I'll look into backporting the relevant changes to the Craft 4 version.
