PDF Rendering: several issues

• No need for the first "TOC" page. It's probably better to move it after the front cover, for the few people who will actually print it. (It's properly creating "bookmarks", so it's not really needed when viewing online.)
• Desperately needs a header or footer with page numbers, and the TOC should have page numbers.
• Some lines between pages are cut across pages.
• For printed text I think that having a fully justified text is better.
