Inspired by the in-game editor from Phantasy Star Online 2 (SEGA), Symbol Art Editor is a pseudo-vector image creator used to produce digital art composed of symbols. The application supports the following file formats: .sar (Symbol Art files) and .saml (project file managed by this application).

Note that the editor does not accept pixel-based image files such as .jpg and .png since it is not practically viable to convert these images into symbol arts with the imposed limitations of the .sar format (ex: maximum 225 symbols).
