Description

Special characters (like ǧ, ȟ or , and probably others) don't show properly in FluffyChat android, while they do show in element. There are also some emojis that are not readable by FLuffyChat android users, but I can't find them anymore. Instead of the character a crossed square is shown (see in attached file). I don't know if this happens on other platforms since I only use FluffyChat on android.

To Reproduce

Write a message with an unsupported special character (like the ones mentioned before).

Additional information:

  • Device: Nokia 6 TA-1021 (2017)
  • OS and OS version: Android 9
  • Installed version of FluffyChat: 1.3.1
  • (Android only) Which store are you using: F-droid and Google Play (issue occurs on both)
  • (Android only) Are Google Services available: Yes
