This is a feature request. It would be nice to have the option to hide the content of notifications. For Android this option is available but only applies if the lock screen is active; I propose that an additional option be added that would apply all of the time.
Other issues/feature requests have been posted about the opposite, to have the ability to show message content in the notification (I think this doesn't happen on iOS already?). Some users clearly want message content to show up and others would like to keep it hidden; therefore, it would be best if it was an option.
