What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open vitrinite tool
2. Open marker image
3. Get tie point
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'll should select several tie points to calibrate my sample image. Instead of
that I hear an error noise and is impossible to get a tie point.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mirone 2.2.0, matlab 7.12.0.635(R2011a), Mac OS X Lion 10.7.

This tool is rather poorly documented, I know (the colleague that asked me to
write it should have worked more on that).
You will need at least 2 marker images (but the more, the best) that are named
with the following convention
xxxx_numericReflectance.ext
Here is an example name that I use:
Padrao_1.715.jpg
the reflectance of the marker image is extracted from the file name. After
having loaded you marker images, you click the "Get tie point" button and click
on the marker image only once. You do this for each of the marker images.
Next you do "Calibrate" and finally you can use the "Get average reflectance"
on the sample image that you have loaded meanwhile.
I added a couple more tests to vitrinite tool to prevent doing some usage
errors and updated the SVN version.
