Two weeks of images "Error loading image" after update

The bug

I've updated from 1.119.1 to 1.20.2 and the past two weeks of images are generating "Error loading image" errors. New images come in fine. I run my server as an LXC in Proxmox and restoring a backup of 1.119.1 restores access to the images going back to Oct28th.

The error says that it is looking for a file at /mnt/pool/immich/library/backups/.immich, which is missing

This plus the missing images both suggest there's been a problem with your storage/mounts at some point and files went somewhere they're not supposed to.

I see that, but then why does it work fine with 1.119.1 and only not see those images after upgrade to 1.120.2?

Because you're restoring a backup that presumably does include those files. I can give no insight into why there, that's for you to look into the mounts you're using, what may have gone wrong with them, and whether there's (for example) files hiding under the mount points and such.

I have the same issue when I upgrade from 1.120 to 1.122. The hidden people is ok, the name people is also ok. The very recent faces are showing "error loading image". It's on my docker so there is all local folders... Can we reset those people and force the system to rescan but not full reset?
