Gilbert's forest attack

This scene takes place right after Cornelius has appeared to the group

PIERCE: Well, great. How do I fight you guys? Which button fights?

Pierce panics and runs back and forth.

JEFF: Pierce, calm down. Nobody's gonna fight you.

PIERCE: Why not?

TROY: Because when you're friends with someone, it's weird to steal their family's money.

Gilbert enters from left-hand side

GILBERT: You're playing the game wrong.

PIERCE: Why is Harry Belafonte in here?

GILBERT: It's Gilbert. And you're not supposed to cooperate, you're supposed to compete.

SHIRLEY: Pierce, do you know this man?

Gilbert: My name is Gilbert Lawson. I was Cornelius Hawthorne's assistant for over 30 years, and before that, I was just the teenager who read the Bible to him in the bath.

Britta: Ew.

JEFF: Well, thanks for the advice, Gilbert, but I think we can choose how we want to play.

GILBERT: I suppose we can.

PIERCE: Is he being ominous?

Gilbert begins crafting throwing knives, crafting menu screen becomes temporarily visible over Gilbert's sprite, flickers through different options

ABED: Whoa. We can pick stuff up?

GILBERT: This world is more complex than you can imagine.

Gilbert attacks party. Once party is defeated, the scene ends and the character that had been initially selected respawns in the Study Room.

The player runs back to the Forest to find a note left by Gilbert. When the player touches the note, a message appears:

GILBERT: After you've squandered the last of your savings, I'll watch you writhe, penniless, in the gutter, through a telescope in the penthouse office of Hawthorne Tower.
