This project hasn't been updated in a year. How likely is it that this issue can be resolved soon? |
We are accepting pull requests. The line of code that is the culprit has been pointed out, and now that Android Gradle Plugin 3.3 has been officially released I have no problems replacing the code that produces the error. |

Looking into backwards compatibility right now. Probably just going to bump the major version number so, that won't take too long. Are you able to test out the snapshot? |

Should be auto publishing when master builds. Looks like that didn't happen, I'm looking into it. |
I just wanted to confirm that I tried the 2.0.1 snapshot, and the deprecation warning goes away 🎉 |
Enabling the plugin triggers the following message when Android Gradle plugin 3.3 is used.
(In my case, 3.3.0-alpha13)
Unfortunately, just adding the recommended option does not show the stacktrace.
