Definitions

To direct is to provide required information for a specific action.

A direction is required information for the performance of a specific action.

Direct is a relational trait of all relationships which are not mediated by any agents, nor by processes with unpredictable outputs.

Notes

Direct actions often seem to occur quickly or instantly, but can occur over any period. For example, water can directly dissolve many physical substances (even highly resistant ones) over extended periods.
