Data for Paraguay 🇵🇾 #3635
Comments
Just found some basic background information about the grid on the website of the official grid operator (ANDE):
Additionally, ANDE published documents about their future expansion stages (or what they call "master plan" / "PLAN MAESTRO "): |
Thanks @IV1T3! I was unable to find live electrical generation data, and my emails to the state electrical company have gone unanswered. This might be a great opportunity to use the new estimates feature that recently went live, as 100% of the electricity generated in Paraguay is hydropower. |
Screenshoot of my email conversation with folks at the Itaipu Dam. I had found a URL, https://www.itaipu.gov.br/sites/default/files/dado_op/dadosin.php, that I thought might have been the solution if it was functional (as it provided a last updated timestamp and total accumulated generation, thereby allowing for hydro generation by time period to be calculated). Unfortunately the URL in question isn't working (😞). But! The person who responded to my email seems to be interested in giving us a hand, and asked if they could forward my email to the press office for the hydro generator on the Paraguay side in order to mediate the conversation with Paraguay's state transmission operator ANDE. Will update this issue if/when I hear back. |
No reply from the contact previously reached out to, closing for now until a data source is available for parsing. |
Creating issue to investigate getting Paraguay on EM:
With the disconnection of the last thermal power plant, Paraguay becomes the only country in the world with 100% clean and renewable electricity generation. (press release title/machine translated contents from state electrical utility ANDE)
Existing interconnects with Brazil and Argentina are tracked using their respective parsers.
