The question is how to provide this piece of software so that it is simple to install and re-use for own projects. Managing one copy per website in a branch each is certainly not a proper long-term strategy 😄

Middleman supports custom extensions, and these seem to be a good match. When going that way, this repository should also be renamed accordingly, for example to middleman-extension-discourse.
