The slots count (1) is different from the created virtual gamepads count (5)

i just got this program and when i try to start it it just tells me "Virtual controllers (bus) error occured: The slots count (1) is different from the created virtual gamepads count (5)! Please restart the application. If the problem still persists, restart your PC.", i did restart the app a few times which changed nothing and restarted my pc which also changed nothing, and even reinstalled the app once
i have zero idea what is causing it to (presumably) make more virtual gamepads than the count i set, or whatever else the error implies, and im sure its some unknown issue on my end since restarting and reinstalling didnt change the error and by all means it should work perfectly since i just installed it, but i dont believe i have anything that could make virtual gamepads, i even unplugged a wireless controller USB i had which also changed nothing, i also only have a keyboard and mouse plugged in
