I am not able to install or use the fonts on ubuntu 16.04 can anyone assist? #28

I have tried putting the files in:
~/.fonts/
/usr/local/share/fonts
'/usr/share/fonts/truetype'

I have refreshed the fc-cache.

and fc-list|grep returns the files

but fontspec and kpathea can't find them?
