Hello,

In order to protect the privacy of Fediverse users, it would be great to implement the following improvements:

This would reduce tracking, allow people who don't know about Nitter and Invidious to be protected by default, and also reduce the amount of data transported across the network and maybe reduce page loading time.

Thank you in advance

I create a fork with nitter integration: https://github.com/lelibreauquotidien/tootbot

fc049ba replaces twitter links to nitter ones.

I have no idea how stable nitter instances will be in the long term. I'm considering having a nitter/invidious redirector service running together with my mastodon instance to make sure links will still be functionnal in the future.

One option would be to also include the original link.
Yet this means using more space... but we have plenty of it compared to Twitter anyway ?
