including this information (network, nodeIP, state of connection) will be valuable for users before they login. maybe even more valuable - if you're "node conscious" and want to know which node you'll be trusting.

whether or not the session screens become routes or modals (#1313) the network connectivity component should be displayed when the session components are visible.

this leads me to think ... how can we communicate what's happening with the private key before the user signs in?
