add files to a project or to a note?

I would like to add other files to a project - for example I might have a bunch of pdf files, or code files. In addition would be nice to add files to a note - maybe as a reference for the information in the note. Is this possible?

Being a command line tool, I see very limited option to provide such feature.
One option I can think of is - adding file paths in description.
Then, when in vim mode (press v in task detail pane), the files can be opened with appropriate external program using gx.

Can you please share any good idea?
