The aiida-submission-controller package is a tool for limiting submissions to a given computer:

https://github.com/aiidateam/aiida-submission-controller

Besides limiting submission, it also uses extras to keep track of which calculations have already been submitted, so no work is repeated.

Tasks

  • Open issues/PRs for each of the changes made in private repository.
  • Integrate desires changes after discussion with other power users.
  • Write proper documentation for aiida-submission-controller.
  • Make the package more findable through the main aiida-core documentation.

Comments

@mbercx

Note that I also made quite a few changes to the submission controller while using it. These changes are only in my own branches though... There is still quite a bit of cleanup to do here. [sweat_smile]

@jusongyu if you're also interested in using the submission controller, maybe we can touch base after my holiday and make sure the changes I have made are integrated asap, and we make the plugin more findable and user-friendly.

@jusongyu

@marnikbercx Thanks! happy to have a discussion when you are back. I cannot find this and write a complex background run script to do it.
