I added a cross compile script cross.sh
to the glide3x directory.
To get working binaries I needed to compile a DJGPP with GCC 4.7.3
using the script at https://github.com/andrewwutw/build-djgpp
Binaries generated with GCC 7.2.0 only got me a black screen on real hardware.
cross.ch
will create an output/
directory in the glide3x directory with includes, link libraries and test cases for all types of hardware.
In order to be able to create an EXE which will run with all you need to compile and link against Voodoo 1 libglide3i.a
.
For this to work I modified the DXE generation in the sst1 Makefile.DJ
. All symbols that do not exist in V2/V3/V4 DXEs are no longer exported by the V1 libglide3i.a
.
What has been done/tested so far:
- Compilation of libglide3i.a and libglide3x.a as well as glide3x.dxe for all flavours of hardware
- Voodoo1/SST1 test cases run on DOSBox-x and on a real Voodoo 1. These test cases were statically linked (no DXE yet).
- Voodoo 2/3/Banshee/Rush test cases run on real hardware.
- dedicated DXE interoperability testcase linked against V1 runs on V1 and V2.
- Thanks to a crude hack LFB functions now work on Voodoo 1, too.
What needs to be done/tested:
- All other hardware flavours need to be tested (I'm unable to test V4 and V5)
