When working with landscape-format textures for models (most often 2*1 aspect ratio), the UV and Paint tabs get smaller to fit the aspect ratio.
An example is the Minecraft Vanilla zombie
This zombie texture does not look that bad, but with a higher power-of-two the reduced size makes it significantly difficult to navigate those tabs to move UVs, paint, etc.
To get the same vertical size as a square texture, we currently need to make the entire tab larger, covering more of the viewport, which is not desirable.
We can also undock those tabs, but that also covers more the viewport
Solution:
I wish that the UV and Paint tab remained square, at their full size (or that we had an option in Settings for it).
A mockup of what it would look like at 100% zoom
Alternatively, being able to resize the UV and Paint tab could work, but it would be nice to still have a default to obtain that result when opening the model.
