Per-page page navigation buttons?

Hello all.

I'd like to have more than three readily-accessible pages on my unit (specifically 1, 2, 4, 5, and 9). I think I'd like to allow pages to override the navigation buttons on the bottom, so that the default would be buttons for pages 1, 4, and 9, except on page 1, button 1 would take me to page 2, and on page 4, button 2 would take me to page 5.

Is there already a way to do this, or should I roll up my sleeves and write some code?
